There once was a girl who was unsure.

She never thought she would get it right.

She would stay up all night fighting her tears.

What is wrong with me, she would ask.

Nothing.

One day it became so clear.

She faced her obstacles and succeeded.

Life does that to you sometimes.

For my final project I am in a group with Courtney and with Nicole. We are chosing to create a game. For this game it will a monomythic journey of a character. Our character is Frosty the Snowman and he is in search of finding Rudolph. There are different stages of the journey he will have to go through and the key to this is rolling a dice. The game is quite fun, quick and simple with no challenging questions.

We chose to do this and focus on the monomythic journey because it is what we all thought was the most important through this sememster-and this is what we got the most out of it. It is quite interesting, along with the archetypes.

For this blog I am going to chose to write about the movie we are currently watching in class called Henry and June. It is quite a different film that I am used to watching during class, but has a artistic side to it.

Yes some of the scenes are, at times, funny but the true story behind it is quite clear. It is about a woman trying find what makes her happy in life, sexually. She takes a journey through different areas that help her find her end result and she is satisified with it.

So far, she looks as if she is going in the right direction-we shall see!

C is for candy canes that taste of pint and sugar.

H is for ham that is set at the dinner table.

R is for rest after opening all of the presents.

I is for icycles hanging from above the roof.

S is for sled rides down the white powder snow hilltop.

T is for togetherness with your family and friends.

M is for music that gets you in the spirit.

A is for all the great times and memories we share.

S is for Santa Claus, he is almost here!

Imagine your life story so far is as epic bildungsroman:

(coming of age story…moral and psychology evaluation of the main character)

Title of story: Finding genuinity in a time of insecurity

What genre is the story: letters, childrens story, novel, poem: My story would be a novel, it would come from the main characters point of view, and go on to talk about her (my) monomythic journey.

Archetypes: main character: The main character’s archetype for this novel would have to be multiple ones. The fool, because she knows the truth and the right way, the caregiver because she puts others before herself always and the warrior to a point, because she has to stand up for herself, and do what benefits her-even though it is very difficult.

Main conflict of story: The main conflic is the main character being deceived by a person that has been a constant in her life for a very long time, that one day shows he can is not who she thought he was.

Monomythic terms-plot and settings: The plot is friends becoming best friends that lead into being more than friends and then to absolutely nothing at all. The setting is here in PA, in alittle town where if you go to Walmart you know atleast 10 people. And EVERYONE knows your life story.

Write that we have gone over that relates to my story: A author that writes similar stories as to what I just wrote about is hard to identify, I would have to say the author of color purple. I know the story I created is a lot different then Celie’s but i can see a connection between them, because to an extent, the main character gets portrayed, and let down and still is capable of taking care of others-putting them before herself.

The turkey aroma fills the entire house

The fireplace is toasty warm, with the cat sleeping on the mantle

Papa sits and tells his childhood stories, they never get old

The weather is crisp, and it looks like it may snow

We all wait for the sun to go down to have our chrismas lights come to live again

We wait all year to see the bright white colored lights that trace the outline of the houses

This holiday lets us know chirstmas is almost here!

Thanksgiving break! For this blog I am going to write about what I will be doing over my 9 DAYS OFF FROM WORK AND CLASS! To start off, this Friday I will be going to the ‘It’s a wonderful life’ festival going on down on Philadelphia street in memory of Jimmy Stewart. I am planning to see New Moon, because I am obsessed with Twilight. And, from sunday-wednesday I will be in Florida spending time with my grandma. The rest of my break I will be spending with my family, during the holiday. For my poem I will be writing about thanksgiving, and what it means to me.

Sisters

Selflesness, there is never anything to big than when we need eachother

Integrity, not only do we respect our own integrity, we fight for eachother’s as well

Smiles, I can’t even count how many smiles we have shared that get us from one day to the next

Tears, tears of happiness and of pain-we get through any type together

Eternal, what we have is not just on the outside, but is within us as well…in our hearts

Role Model, even though I’m the oldest-we learn off one another every day

For this blog, I am going to talk about my relationship with my two sisters. They are my best friends, along with my mom and without them, I do not know where I would be. With growing up, you go through a lot of changes, and trials and the usual drama that surprisingly starts at a very young age. Friends at school come and go, some grow up with you, and some you lose along the road of life. For my entire life, I have been blessed with keeping my sisters as my best friends and that will never change. When we were younger, yes we went through times of not standing eachother but that has only made us closer as we get older. And I wouldn’t trade this for the world. For this poem, I am going to write a poem about my sisters and my relationship and friendship of love.
