Me Myself and I
Hi, my name is Shannon Kelly McMeans. I am 5’5”, have light brown hair and green eyes. Well, people say they are blue occasionally. You can make your own preference. Anyways, I was born and raised in the little area of Home, PA. And no, I am not being sarcastic or joking when I say I live at home, that is my address. I was born at Punxsutawney Area Hospital at 10:40 a.m. July 1, 1987. I have two beautiful sisters, I could not ask for any better best friends. Bridget and Meghan. Bridget is currently attending IUP as well, majoring in English Education. Meghan is still in high school, but plans to be an art teacher someday. I am blessed with two loving parents that have been there since day one. And for that, I am forever grateful. I have 3 dogs, their names are Lexy, Mick and Macy. I LOVE animals by the way. They are a black lab, chocolate lab and german shepherd. And, we have a cat, her name is Mia.
I graduated from Marion Center Area Highschool in 2005. After high school graduation, I was not completely sure what I wanted to do with my life. So, I enrolled at Cambria-Rowe Business College. There I got my associate’s degree in Medical Office Administration. I proceeded, after graduation, to attend Westmoreland County Community College. The school of the never ending C’s! There I majored in Radiology. From there I got a job at Indiana Regional Medical Center here in INDIANA! I worked in the Emergency Department, and loved EVERY minute of it. I love never knowing what to expect. Routine is not my thing. I live for change. Currently, I am working at eCedent. We are an electronic registration program for health care facilities. I have been working at eCedent for over a year now as a sales executive. I enjoy my job greatly! But, as I have grown up, and have been out in the world, I have gotten a better grasp on what I like and dislike and that is what shaped my decision to attend IUP for Elementary Education.
So, moving on. I am a very complex person. Isn’t everyone? There are MANY layers to who I am. And, to be honest, I am still learning about myself. I feel that as you go through life you change, everyone changes. I am a clean freak, love organizing, and view fashion as the best kind of art. I will add to this as time goes by, I just wanted to give you a little idea on who exactly I am! So until then, to be continued…
